I’ve written quite a few articles about solo female travel and why every woman should explore this world on her own. However, throughout all the tips I’ve shared about how to travel alone safely, I’ve never pinpointed exactly where the safest places are for women to travel solo.

I’ll start by saying that the world is not as scary as some might think it is. If there is a specific place that you want to travel, you can definitely make it happen safely as long as you have a good attitude and general street smarts.

However, if you’re still trying to find the perfect place to head out on your own, there are some destinations that are safer than others. Here are ten of the safest destinations for solo female travelers.

Vancouver

Us Canadians are known for being some of the friendliest people that you’ll ever meet, making the Great White North a perfect destination for solo travelers. Drenched in multiculturalism, you’re bound to find people from all walks of life in Canada. I love Vancouver specifically because it’s got the perfect mix of mountains, oceans, and city – plus it has one of the mildest climates in all of Canada. Vancouver has a little something for everyone from scenic hiking trails, oceanfront happy hours, and some of the best shopping in the country.
