Summer is just around the corner, well it’s supposed to be, though the weather in Canada hasn’t really been reflecting that lately. Nonetheless, I am hopeful that blue skies and warm weather will be upon us soon.

Which means that it’s time to get a jumpstart on that summer tan!

I self-tan at home throughout the year using a variety of different products to maintain a bronzed glow year-round. Here are some of my favourites:

Vita Liberata Tanning Mousse

This is one of my favourite tanning mousses on the market. It has a red base which gives you a more natural glow than other self-tanning products. It’s incredibly easy to apply, even if you’re a beginner. It’s on the pricier side, but a little goes a long way, so it should last you a while!

Loving Tan 2-Hour Express Tanning Mousse

This tanning mousse by Loving Tan is one of my favourites because you don’t have to sit around and wait for it to dry. It dries and develops in two hours so that you can use it right before a big event and not have to worry about planning your day around your tan.

Isle of Paradise Self-Tanning Drops

I really love these color-correcting drops for self-tanning my face. My face always seems to react poorly to self-tanning mousses, so I mix these drops in with my moisturizer instead to make sure that my face colour matches the rest of my body. All you have to do is add a few drops into your moisturizer and it will leave you will glowing, bronzed, and hydrated skin.

Sol De Janeiro Glowmotions Body Oil

I recently discovered this product and I absolutely love it for giving my skin a little extra shine before a big event or a photo shoot. It gives my skin the perfect amount of sparkle without leaving me feeling greasy. It comes in a variety of different shades as well, so it’ll suit any skin tone.

Maui Babe Browning Lotion

This is my absolute favourite tanning lotion to use when I’m actually laying out in the sun. This lotion gets me dark, fast and leaves me smelling like a freshly baked cookie! Which may be my favourite part about using this lotion.

Jergens Natural Glow Firming Daily Moisturizer

This is a great product for those looking to ease their way into self-tanning. It’s a gradual tanning product that applies like a traditional moisturizer. However, after a few days, your skin will be looking a little bit more bronzed!
